Tywana McCorkle (aka Cush) was born and raised in the small town of Stanley, North Carolina. She is a self-taught artist who remembers drawing fashion designs as a little girl, and as she got older, her drawing graduated to painting. Her favorite medium is acrylics, and her favorite expression of her art is abstract because what one person sees, someone else can interpret something differently. She is a woman of few words, but her paintbrush speaks novels on the canvas and is on display.
